Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP)

Receive up to $50,000 in funding for a new security system.

The Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) provides funding for security enhancements to places of worship and other nonprofit organizations that are at a high risk of terrorist attack. The NSGP is funded by the State Homeland Security Grant Program (SHSGP) and the Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) two subgrants specifically for nonprofits. Grants can be used to fund physical security measures (video surveillance, access control, fencing, outdoor lighting gates etc.), as well as security training and awareness campaigns.

Total funding available for fiscal year 2024: $434.5 million
